Salmon Arm Tackles Another Snowfall Record
Salmon Arm has set another record relating to the snow.
Environment Canada's Trevor Smith says that this new record replaces one that's 21 years old "As of March 6th there was still 57cms of snow on the ground in Salmon Arm, and that's the most that's been on the ground as of March 6th since 1997, when there was 54cms on the ground. The records go back to about 1980."
It was just a few weeks ago that Salmon Arm broke a 118 year old record for single-day snowfall on February 17th.
The next update on B.C's snowpack figures is due for release sometime on Thursday.
