Sicamous Constable To Be Honoured By Alexa's Team

A member of the Sicamous RCMP Detachment is set to receive another honour from Alexa's Team.

Alexa's Team is a program that awards RCMP members who take a certain number of impaired drivers of our roads.

Sicamous Sergeant Murray McNeil says that Constable Tom Gill busted 25 impaired drivers in the past year "We're very fortunate to have Constable Tom Gill here at the Sicamous Detachment. He's very good and very experienced at detecting impaired drivers."

McNeil says this should come as a warning to those in Sicamous who choose to drive impaired "We do have one of the better members in the province for detecting impaired drivers here in Sicamous."

Alexa's Team is named after Alexa Middelaer, a four year old Delta girl who was hit and killed by a drunk driver in 2008.
