Small Wildfire North Of Revelstoke Now Under Control

A small wildfire burning 15km north of Revelstoke is under control.

The Martha Creek fire sparked last week, and is said to have been caused by lightning.

Ashlene Aktarian with the Southeast Fire Centre says it's only .01 hectares "It's burning in a very remote location with tough terrain, and it's currently not threatening any communities or structures."

She says there's been minimal fire activity and barely any smoke.

That's the only fire anywhere near Revelstoke following last week's thunderstorms.
