Speed Limits To Be Dialed Back On 570km of Highway
B.C's Ministry of Transportation is rolling back speed limits on a number of Highways.
It's in hopes of keeping people safer and reducing the chance of speed-related collisions.
Highway One from Chase to Sorrento will drop from a 100km/h zone to a 90, and Highway 97A between Grindrod and Sicamous will drop from a 90 zone to an 80.
Highway One between Salmon Arm and Golden won't see any changes.
The Ministry says that Highway Five between Hope and Kamloops will stick with it's limit of 120, as speed related collisions on that section of Highway have been down 5.4% since the change.
