Sunshine Approaches Shuswap And Columbia Regions

The Shuswap and Columbia regions are forecast to see a stretch of sunshine beginning Wednesday.

Environment Canada Forecaster Cindy Yu has details "We are really dealing with kind of seasonal temperatures starting Wednesday - sort of Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Then the surface ridge does intensify a little more heading into the weekend."

Yu says that there's a chance of unsettled weather on Friday, but otherwise it should get hotter as the weekend approaches "Really we're looking at temperatures around the mid-20's for most of this week, and hopefully we'll reach some of the higher-20's as we get into this weekend."

The long-term forecast shows more sunshine into next week, but we'll have too watch to see if that pans out.
