Switch To Cloudy And Rainy Weather Around The Bend
We've got rain in the forecast this week for the Shuswap and Columbia regions.
Showers are possible from Wednesday and into the weekend.
Environment Canada's Armel Castellan has more on the change, saying "Essentially what we call an upper-trough, or a cold low pressure system. It's pretty typical we see these in May and June, and a lot of people have been really hoping for this because we're really in need of precipitation for the drought and wildfire portfolios."
As for the rainiest day this week, Castellan says "The crux of it is probably Thursday afternoon into Friday, where we could actually see some accumulations of precipitation."
He says that incoming rain should help push wildfire haze back into Alberta.
