Water Leak Leaves SA Council Out Of Chambers

Salmon Arm's City Council may not be back in Council Chambers for its next meeting.

A weekend water leak at City Hall forced Monday's meeting to a new space, and the meeting on the 27th could have the same fate.

Mayor Nancy Cooper says the timeline for a restored Council Chambers is still up in the air "Well, we're not really sure when we're going to be back in Council Chambers. They're trying to finish by the end of March, but there's a number of unknowns, because of all the technology there that was damaged - we're still not sure if that's going to be up and working. They may have the repairs to the floors, the desks, and the ceiling, but the technology is the big question at this point."

The Mayor says any change in location for Council's next meeting would be advertised to the public ahead of time.
