Wet Weather Expected For The Long Weekend

The Shuswap and Columbia regions will see a weather pattern change for the long weekend.

Environment Canada says that the ridge of high-pressure that brought so much heat is now departing.

Forecaster Lisa Erven has more for us on the incoming change, saying "We're going to see increases in cloud-cover coming into your forecast, the chance of some showers, and perhaps even the risk of some thunderstorms."

She does note that this incoming system should help our smoke issues, saying "When you have rainfall it can help scatter out smoke in the air."

The Shuswap is forecast to see a chance of showers each day from Friday to Monday, while Revelstoke and Golden will see similar conditions; but at the moment may see a bit less rain.
