Winter Weather Snarls Revelstoke's Highway Traffic

RCMP in Revelstoke say that local Highway conditions have kept them busy, this week.

An email release states that Revelstoke RCMP attended 14 accidents on the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 23 South between the hours of 8AM on Wednesday and 8AM on Thursday.

The release notes that Highway conditions weren't very good, based on a sudden snow storm.

Police say that variable speed signs were actived on Highway One, but that some drivers failed to take notice.

Revelstoke RCMP are using these past few days as a reminder to the public of the need to drive according to conditions.

No specific details on any of those 14 collisions has been released at this time.
