CIHL: River Kings Drop Opener of Final 4-2; Must Win Two in Williams Lake Next Weekend

The Terrace River Kings have their backs to the wall in the Central Interior Hockey League Championship series.

The River Kings lost 4-2 to the Williams Lake Stampeders Saturday night at the Sportsplex, meaning they'll have to win twice in the Cariboo next weekend to win the final.

Terrace's Corey Dekelver opened the scoring two minutes into the contest but the Stamps tied it before the end of the first period.

Luke Walker put Terrace ahead again early in the second, but the Stampeders led 3-2 heading into the final period, and sealed the deal with an empty-netter with time running out.
