Contract Awarded for Final Section of Access Road to Skeena Industrial Park
A contract has been awarded to construct the remainder of the road into the Skeena Industrial Development Park south of Terrace.
Daudet Creek Contracting of Kitimat will be responsible for finishing Jack Talstra Way, which will provide access to the nearly 1200 acres of property owned by Taisheng International Investment Services.
Taisheng is the Canadian representative of China's Qinhuangdao Economic and Technological Development Zone.
Taisheng is now actively marketing the land in China to potential tenants, and has been conducting investor tours of the property.
Taisheng bought the land three years ago, with hopes of developing industry at the site.
Road construction is expected to begin soon, and be completed by next June.
The park is currently an active logging site and is closed to the public.
