Cullen To Give Farewell Speech in House of Commons Wednesday

Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen will give his farewell speech in the House of Commons this afternoon -- as he prepares to retire from federal politics.

The veteran New Democrat announced in March that he would not run for re-election this fall, saying he wanted to spend more time with his young family.

Cullen called the House of Commons a place he cherishes and considers sacred to our democracy.

He says it will be difficult to try capture in ten minutes what the last 15 years have meant to him and his family.

His speech is scheduled to begin at around 4:30 PDT this afternoon (Wednesday).
