More BC Liberal Leadership Candidates Visit Northwest This Week

The list of people running to lead the BC Liberals is expected to grow again today.

Kamloops-area MLA Todd Stone [pictured at right] will be in Surrey this morning where he says he'll make a big announcement about his plans for the future.

There are already seven people running to replace Christy Clark as leader, including Terrace businesswoman Lucy Sager, former Surrey mayor Dianne Watts, and M-L-A's Mike Bernier, Mike de Jong, Michael Lee, Andrew Wilkinson and Sam Sullivan.

De Jong and Lee have already done some campaigning in the northwest, and this week, both Bernier and Wilkinson are visiting.

Bernier -- the MLA for Peace River South -- visited Thornhill this morning and travels to Cowpuccino's in Prince Rupert this afternoon (1pm), before travelling back to Kitimat where he'll shake hands at the Microtel tonight.   Tomorrow he's in New Hazelton and on Thursday, Bernier has meet-and-greet sessions in Smithers, Houston and Burns Lake.

Wilkinson will be in Prince Rupert and Terrace on Thursday.
