More Northwest Candidates Emerge For 2017 BC Election

More candidates are coming forward in the northwest's four ridings, as the 2017 BC election draws nearer.

In the Nechako Lakes riding, Elections BC lists Jon Rempel of the Libertarian Party registered as running against incumbent Liberal MLA John Rustad.  

The NDP nominated Anne Marie Sam in that riding last week.

In Stikine, the Christian Heritage Party's website says party leader Rod Taylor is running against incumbent New Democrat Doug Donaldson and Liberal challenger Wanda Good.

In Skeena, still just two candidates so far vying to replace retiring New Democrat Robin Austin:  they are the NDP's Bruce Bidgood and the Liberals' Ellis Ross.

And in North Coast, New Democrat Jennifer Rice will be running for re-election against Liberal Herb Pond and the Green Party's Hondo Arendt.

The candidate nomination deadline is Tuesday April 18th -- election day is May 9th.
