New Hazelton Woman Missing

New Hazelton RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating a missing woman.

Police say 50-year-old Cynthia Martin hasn't been seen since 9 o'clock Sunday night.

She's described as First Nations, with black, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

She's about five-foot-three and 135 pounds.

She was last seen wearing a grey jacket and dark pants -- possibly jeans.

RCMP say there is nothing to indicate foul play at this time.

Family and friends say it's out-of-character for her to be out of contact for this long, and they're very concerned for her health and well-being.

Members of Bulkley Valley Search and Rescue carried out an air search over the area on Christmas Day, with assistance from Silver King Helicopters, but didn't find any trace of Martin.
