Rifles Stolen From Terrace Sports Shop In Brazen Break-In

Several rifles were stolen in a brazen break-and-enter at Terrace's Misty River Tackle Shop on Agar Avenue this morning.

Police say the thieves used a small truck to smash into the store at around 4:30 this morning, driving it right through the front entrance.

Three people then stole an entire rack of long guns -- video surveillance appears to show two men and one woman -- the woman was the truck's driver.

Shortly afterward, a vehicle matching the description of the truck was found burning in Thornhill.

It was identified as a beige 2006 Toyota Tacoma reported stolen in Prince Rupert last Friday.

Numerous rifles were stolen in a break and enter to Misty River Tackle Shop on Agar Ave this morning at 4:30 am.

Thieves used a small truck to smash into the store by driving it through the front entrance. Three people entered the store and stole an entire rack of long guns. Based on video surveillance it appears two men and one woman are the suspects, the woman being the driver.

Shortly after fleeing the scene, a vehicle matching the description in the break and enter was located on fire in Thornhill. Investigation determined that the vehicle was a beige 2006 Toyota Tacoma BC LP #KK1661 that was stolen out of Prince Rupert on December 30th.
