River Kings In Semi-Final at Coy Cup in Whitehorse

The Terrace River Kings will play the host team tonight, in the Coy Cup semi-finals in Whitehorse.

Steve Cullis's empty-net goal with eight seconds left gave the River Kings a 3-2 victory over the winless North Island Capitals last night.

The Caps had pulled their goaltender because they had to win to stay alive in the tournament.

Last night's other game saw the host Whitehorse Huskies tie the Kelowna Sparta 5-5.

So undefeated Kelowna finishes the round-robin in first place, earning a bye to tomorrow's final.

Terrace finished second at 2-and-1, and will play Whitehorse in tonight's semi-final.
