Search Underway East of Terrace for Missing Telkwa Woman
Smithers RCMP are asking for the public's help in finding a missing woman from Telkwa.
Police say it appears 34-year-old Chantelle Simpson left her home last Wednesday afternoon -- was in contact with a family member later that evening -- but hasn't been heard from since.
On Thursday, Terrace RCMP located her vehicle near Gossen Creek Street and a search of the area was initiated, with help from the Terrace Police Dog Services.
This morning, members of Terrace Search and Rescue were called in and initiated a ground search of the Gossen Creek area.
An RCMP helicopter will also be utilized to help out.
Simpson is described as Caucasian, four-feet-11-inches tall and weighing 120 pounds.
She has brown hair and brown eyes.
