Skeena Middle School Protest Response
In a follow up to wednesday story regarding the group of students at skeena middle school that walked out of their classes to protest the re-assigment of their principal and vice principal for the upcoming school year.
A press release has been issued by the school board district 82. In it, the board has highlighted the fact that staffing reviews and movements are normal and ongoing and that all changes are implemented with the best interest of students and school board, as a whole, in mind.
The release noted that the changes were a result of a thorough review but that confidentiality and privacy must be respected and prohibits the release of any specific reasons for the changes.
It concluded by commending the work of Mr. Barron and Mr. Killoran and wished them all the best in their new assignments.
