Suspect Arrested in Serious Weekend Assault in Terrace

A suspect has been arrested in connection with last weekend's assault on Medeek Avenue in Terrace in which a woman was seriously injured.

RCMP Sergeant Mike Robinson says the arrest was made Thursday, following a thorough police investigation.

Police had been called to a home on Medeek Avenue just after 7am Sunday, after a woman was found inside, suffering serious injuries. 

She was flown to hospital in Vancouver where she's listed in stable condition.

The suspect's name hasn't been released yet.

Police have arrested a suspect in relation to a serious assault on Medeek Avenue.

Just after 7 a.m. on February 26, 2017, Terrace RCMP attended an address on Medeek Avenue for a report of a woman located inside with serious injuries. The woman was flown to hospital in Vancouver and is currently in stable condition.

On March 2, 2017, police arrested a man without incident.

The investigative skills of our local Terrace RCMP officers led to the quick discovery of information related to this vicious assault, said Sgt. Michael Robinson, the detachment’s acting officer in charge. Local police teams put forth a great effort in gathering evidence to help identify a suspect and make an arrest.
