Terrace River Kings Great Season Comes to Disappointing End at Coy Cup

It was a disappointing end to a great hockey season.

The Terrace River Kings, who won the Central Interior Hockey League championship in February, were blanked 8-0 by the Dawson Creek Canucks Thursday night, to end the round robin portion of last week's Coy Cup Provincial Men's Championship Tournament in Williams Lake with no wins and three losses.

Dawson Creek ended up winning the tournament, overwhelming the Kelowna Sparta 10-4 in Saturday's final.

Kelowna made it to the championship game by edging the host Williams Lake Stampeders 3-2 in Friday's semi-final.
