Triple Murderer Sentenced in Burns Lake

A Burns Lake man has been given a life sentence for killing three people in a residence in the village in April of 2015.

Fifty-six-year-old Reuben Buhler will not be eligible for parole for 22 years.

The sentence was handed down Wednesday in BC Supreme Court in Smithers.

Buhler was originally charged with three counts of first degree murder, in the deaths of Ridge Vern Vienneau, Ehr Ola Anderson and Mitchel Wade, whose bodies were found in a home in the 200 block of Fifth Avenue in Burns Lake on April 27th, 2015.

Last April, Buhler pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of second degree murder in each of the killings.
