Whitehorse Huskies Win 2017 Coy Cup -- River Kings Finish Third

The Whitehorse Huskies are this year's winners of the Coy Cup -- and they won it on home ice.

The Huskies took an early lead and held it the rest of the way as they defeated the Kelowna Sparta 7-4 in Saturday's final game of the tournament, which took place in the Takhini Arena in Whitehorse last week.

The Terrace River Kings finished third at the tournament, after losing 7-3 to Whitehorse in Friday's semi-final.

The River Kings fell behind early in that game and were never able to fight their way back.
