Williams Creek Bridge To Reopen Today
Nearly five months after it was damaged by flooding, the Williams Creek Bridge on Old Lakelse Lake Road will be reopened to traffic again later today.
The bridge was washed out last October, closing it indefinitely and causing major headaches for residents of Jackpine Flats and Thornhill.
Nechako Northcoast Construction said yesterday the majority of the necessary repairs have been completed, and the road and bridge are due to reopen to traffic this afternoon at 5.
Work crews will continue completing repairs on and around the bridge for the rest of the month, and motorists are asked to drive slowly and with caution as they approach the work zone.
