Representatives Of WCC LNG Visit Prince Rupert

Representatives of a proposed liquefied natural gas project have spent the last few days in Prince Rupert updating the community.

WCC LNG would be located on the Tuck Inlet which is just northeast of the city.

Spokesperson Aaron Stryk says ExxonMobil and Imperial continue to evaluate the potential for the LNG project.

He adds the project is in the early stages and that a final investment decision is not anticipated in the near term.

He says the companies continue to explore factors like regulatory approvals, investment climate and business considerations.

Representatives are expected to be in town Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at their office on First Avenue and McBride.
