1. What is iHeartRadio?

iHeartRadio is the world’s largest music platform featuring terrestrial radio stations, curated streaming music channels, and incredibly exciting music events. The iHeartRadio app and desktop site is a free audio streaming service with over 200 channels of music, including some of your favourite radio stations such as Virgin, CHUM, QM FM, CJAY and many more!

It’s easy to use: download the app or go to iHeartRadio.ca, pick music by your mood, activity, or favourite station, whatever suits you, and enjoy! There are endless choices so you can customize the listening experience to what YOU want to hear. 2. Who is iHeartRadio for?

iHeartRadio is for anyone who loves music, talk radio, news, comedy and sports!   

      

3. What channels are included in iHeartRadio?

All 105 of Bell Media’s terrestrial radio stations are in iHeartRadio, as well as 110 music and comedy channels to suit whatever mood, taste or activity you desire. And there are many more channels to come!

 

4. Is iHeartRadio like Spotify or Google Play Music?

iHeartRadio is a collection of music, talk and sports radios stations, curated by the best people in the business. The channels are categorized into moods and activities to serve your listening needs. It is completely unique in that it is offering both online and traditional radio stations inside one platform.

5. How can I listen to iHeartRadio?

There are many ways to enjoy iHeartRadio! Go to iHeartRadio.ca to listen on any web browser or download the iHeartRadio app and listen on the go.

 

6. Which devices support the iHeartRadio app?

The iHeartRadio app is available on the latest version of iOS and Android for both phones and tablets!

 

7. Where can I download the iHeartRadio app?

Download the app directly from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store, linked here.

 

8. Can I access iHeartRadio in my car?

Yes! You can either use Bluetooth to connect your iOS or Android device to your stereo system and stream from the app, or by using Android Auto or Apple’s CarPlay.  

 

9. Which cars support iHeartRadio?

Any car that support Apple’s CarPlay or Android Auto.

 

10. Can I access the app at home on my TV?

If you have a smart TV, the iHeartRadio app can be shared to your TV screen through Airplay, or you could visit iHeartRadio.ca with a connected TV.

 

11. Can I access the app on my gaming console?

IHeartRadio.ca can be viewed on game console web browser. An app dedicated to gaming consoles is currently under development.  

 

12. Can I listen to iHeartRadio on my computer?

Yes! All you need to do is go to iHeartRadio.ca and select your favourite radio station or digital stream.

 

13. Do I have to be signed in to listen to iHeartRadio?

No you do not have to be logged in to listen to iHeartRadio.

 

14. How many devices can be linked to one iHeartRadio account?

There is no limit to the number of devices that can be linked to your iHeartRadio account. Listen to your heart’s content!

 

15. Which devices are compatible with iHeartRadio?

All iOS and Android devices that are using the current operating system or the one prior will be compatible with iHeartRadio.

 

16. How do I search for a specific radio station on iHeartRadio?

Use the search tool within the iHeartRadio app or in the menu of iHeartRadio.ca and enter the name of the station that you are looking for.

 

17. Can I use iHeartRadio Canada while I’m traveling to the US?

The iHeartRadio Canada app is currently only available in Canada. You can, however; download the American iHeartRadio app to stream music in the U.S. Remember that roaming fees from your cell phone provider may apply.

 

18. How much is iHeartRadio?

iHeartRadio is completely free to all Canadians!

 

19. Can I create my own playlist on the iHeartRadio app like I can on other digital music services?

We are in the early stages of looking at the #iHeartRadio PLUS platform, which is an on-demand subscription service.

 

20. Will iHeartRadio support French stations?

Yes!

 

21. Is iHeartRadio the same as the one in the U.S.?

While we are affiliated with iHeartRadio in the U.S we do not carry the same content. All the terrestrial radio stations are Canadian. We do carry almost 100 #iHeartRadio streams as part of our partnership.

 

22. Can I log into iHeartRadio through Facebook or Google?

Yes you can login with your Facebook or Google account.

23. If I have an existing log in with a local station, should I use the same email address to sign up to iHeart?

It’s best to sign up to iHeartRadio using the same email address and password that you used for your favourite local station. This way your content and communication preferences will transfer over to iHeart.

 

24. I’m having trouble signing in on iHeartRadio. Who can help me?

26. I forgot my iHeartRadio login information. How do I obtain it?

You can find a ‘forgot password’ link on the user login page of the app or iHeartRadio.ca. The user login page can be found in the iHeartRadio app or website menu or at the top of your local radio station page. If you still encounter problems, please email infoENG@iheartradio.ca.

 

27. I forgot my login information for a specific local station. How do I obtain it?

You can find a ‘forgot password’ link on the user login page of the app or iHeartRadio.ca. The user login page can be found in the iHeartRadio app or website menu or at the top of your local radio station page. If you still encounter problems, please email infoENG@iheartradio.ca.

 

28. Do I need specific web browser to access iHeartRadio?

iHeartRadio supports the latest versions and one prior of Firefox, Safari, Chrome, and Internet Explorer.

 

29. Do I need specific OS version to access iHeartRadio app on my mobile device?

iHeartRadio supports the current operating system or the one prior of iOS and Android.

 

30. Will playing iHeartRadio on my mobile device use cellular data?

Yes the iHeartRadio app will consume cellular data if you are not connected to Wi-Fi.

 

31. Do I need Wi-Fi or data connection to listen to iHeartRadio?

No you do not need to have Wi-Fi to listen to iHeartRadio but note that fees from your cellular provider for data usage may apply.

 

32. Are there commercials on iHeartRadio?

Yes. If you are listening to any of our 105 terrestrial stations, you will have a commercial when you launch the stream. The feed is directly from the radio station so you will hear exactly the same content, including commercials, as if you were listening in your car. For some digital streaming stations, you will also hear a commercial when you launch your stream as well as in the stream.

34. Will my local station website continue to exist?

Yes! The same URL will still work for your local station.

 

35. I already have an app for my local station; will I be able to continue using it?

Your local station app will continue to work until October 30th, 2016. After that, you will need to download the iHeartRadio app to continue to listen to your local station using an app.

 

36. How long will my local station app be available for?

The local station app will work until October 30th, 2016.

 

37. Do I have to download the iHeartRadio app to continue listing to my local station digitally?

After October 30th, 2016, yes you will have to download the iHeartRadio app.

 

38. How do I file a comment or complaint about a specific station? 

Please email the station directly or send your complaint to infoENG@iheartradio.ca with the name of the specific station in the header of the email.

40. Is there a skip limit on iHeartRadio?

What you hear on iHeartRadio are direct streams live, from the local stations, you will not be able to skip songs on the app or website for the moment.
