At least 7 dead after Hurricane Dorian batters Bahamas
Workers on the ground are describing absolute devastation in parts of the Bahamas hit by Hurricane Dorian.
Prime Minister of the Bahamas Hubert Minnis is calling for a coordinated effort to rebuild as images from Freeport on Grand Bahama show massive flooding throughout the island.
So far, at least seven deaths have been confirmed, but the Prime Minster believes that number will continue to rise.
Meanwhile officials with the US National Hurricane Centre warn of life-threatening storm surge and dangerous winds along portions of Florida's east coast.
They say Dorian is currently 'ambling north-northwestward' with maximum sustained winds of 165 km/hr approximately 145 km east of Daytona Beach.
