BREAKING | Historic Notre-Dame Cathedral on fire
A major fire has broken out at a popular tourist location in Paris.
Notre-Dame Cathedral, which is the most visited monument in paris is on fire.
Flames can be seen coming from the church which was built in 1163.
The peak of the church is undergoing a $6.8 million renovation project.
So far no injuries have been reported.
The Niagara Catholic District School Board says local students have been fortunate to attend services at Notre Dame on trips to France, including during the pilgrimage to Vimy Ridge in 2017.
The board says they are praying for the health and safety of the firefighters and that the wonderful gothic cathedral can be saved.
