Hamilton Public Health reveals increase in opioid related emergency calls
Hamilton Public Health releasing some new disturbing numbers that show a big increase in emergency calls for opioid overdoses.
EMS responded to 83 calls in March for overdoses, more than double the amount during the same period last year.
Yesterday, the federal Public Health Agency announced more than 10,000 Canadians died as a result of opioid related overdoses between January 2016 and September 2018.
With overdoses increasing across North America, health officials have yet to figure out a solution.
