Traffic stop in Hamilton leads to nearly $1 million cocaine bust

Police in Hamilton conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, July 24th after seeing activity consistent with drug trafficking.

A search of the car found 46-year-old Vincent Poole of Hamilton to be in possession of approximately 10 kilograms of cocaine, with a street value of about $1 million.

Police later obtained a warrant to search a residence in the area of Magnolia Drive and Mohawk Road West, where Poole was known to frequent.

A search of the home in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 25th led to the arrest of 30-year-old Kara Fticar of Burlington.

In addition to more cocaine and large quantities of cash, multiple firearms were found unlawfully stored in the home.

Both Vincent Poole and Kara Fticar are facing charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking, and possession of proceeds of crime, among others.
