The McCain Foods Ltd. frozen food plant in Grand Falls will be issued a new Class 1 air quality approval next month.
The company's current approval expires August 15th, with the new one set to take effect the following day.
Government says the approval follows a public consultation process that ran for four months earlier this year.
In addition to abiding by the terms and conditions of the approval, the plant will also have to comply with the Air Quality Regulation under the Clean Air Act.
The plant's annual production is around 85.5 million kilograms of french fries and about 9 million kilograms of specialty products.
