Judge halts PC Party's nomination convention in Carleton-York
A judge has scrapped the Progressive Conservative party's nomination convention in Carleton-York after a disqualified candidate filed a legal challenge.
The Daily Gleaner reports the judge postponed the case until May 29 to give the party more time to provide further documents and evidence.
Chris Duffie says the party failed to properly notify all riding association members that the convention had been scheduled.
But the PC Party argues that it followed the rules of its constitution.
Incumbent MLA Carl Urquhart is the only other person seeking the nomination.
