More money for renovations at PTA in Grand Falls

The New Brunswick government has announced $1.7 million to complete renovations at Polyvalente Thomas-Albert in Grand Falls.

Work will include improvements to laboratories, replacement of traditional blackboards with whiteboards, replacement of interior and exterior doors, painting, and repairs to damaged asphalt.

Officials say the repairs and renovations will add 30 years to the life of the school, which was built in 1969 and serves about 580 students.

Renovations began in June 2013 and will be completed in the fall.
