Stolen car rams police cruiser in St Stephen

St. Stephen police say they are down one police cruiser after a chase and a crash over the lunchhour Thursday.

RCMP say they responded to a report of a stolen vehicle yesterday.

Upon finding the vehicle, while on route, police attempted to stop the driver nearan intersection

The driver rammed into the back of a police cruiser.

Police say the driver took off from the scene, but was arrested a short time later.

He is due in Saint John Provincial Court this morning.

Police say there were no injuries, and both vehicles suffered damage. The incident is still under investigation.
