Three Rapids' players named to Eastern Canada Cup roster, team announces trade

Three players on the Grand Falls Rapids have been selected to the MHL Eastlink North team heading to the eighth annual Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge.

Goaltender Andrew Rose as well as defencemen Kyle Anderson and Matthew MacKay will be participating in the event from November 19-21 in Trenton, Ontario.

Forward Mackenzie Mindus was also supposed to take part in the event, but had to cancel his participation due to injury.

The team also announced the acquisition of 19-year-old Alex Morawski from the Cochrane Crunch of the Northern Ontario Junior hockey League.

The 6'2", 201 lb forward is a native of Lake Worth Florida,.

He hasn't registered a point in ten games this season, but posted 10 goals and 12 assists in 36 games last season with the Wilkes-Barrie/Scranton Knights of the Eastern Hockey League.
