Oh, deer.

Carrie Underwood’s husband, Ontario-born Mike Fisher is celebrating deer hunting with a customized version of one of his famous wife’s hits.

Fisher on Monday shared a video for “Before She Bleats,” a parody of Underwood’s 2005 track “Before He Cheats.” (For you city folks, a bleat is the cry of a doe in mating season).

While no deer had to die for the video – at least not that we know of – the song is an in-your-face ode to hunting Bambi and his gamboling friends. It’s enough to make Underwood cry (pretty) given that she’s talked about being vegetarian.

Since Underwood didn't write "Before He Cheats," Fisher did not have to get her permission. "She might not have approved it," he told ET.

Fisher, 38, was born and raised in Peterborough, Ont. and, while playing for the Ottawa Senators, lived with Underwood on a rural property west of Ottawa. Earlier this year he announed his retirement from the Nashville Predators.

The video is on the Facebook page for Catchin' Deers, the hunting apparel brand Fisher co-founded.

On Instagram, Fisher said: “I’d like to thank all the people that helped make this dream come true. It’s been a long time coming but excited to share my heart and soul through this song. Hope you guys enjoy.”

One can only hope he can hit a deer better than he can hit a note.
