Missing Senior found, safe and sound
A near miracle ending in the search for a missing Alcona man.
65-year-old Craig Swayze was pulled from the mud in an Alcona field, a little cold and tired, but alive - after spending a night out doors.
Swayze had gone for a walk late Wednesday afternoon and didn't return. South Simcoe Police called in police and civilian reinforcements and a helicopter, ATV and canine units joined the search. He was found by two construction workers who spotted him in the field just off the 6th line.
Police say it appears Swayze may have become disoriented during his walk before getting stuck in the mud. He was taken to hospital as a precaution, but is expected to be just fine.
Police are asking area residents to check their yards and sheds. Anyone who sees Mr. Swayze or has any information concerning his whereabouts is asked to call 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311.
