Dog rescued by OPP after falling off a cliff

The Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of the Urban Search and Rescue/CBRNE Response Team (UCRT) were called to Mono Cliff's Provincial Park around noon Sunday, May 5th, after receiving a report of a dog in distress.

While on a hike with its owner, the dog fell from the edge of a cliff onto a ledge below. Efforts by concerned citizens and the owner to rescue the dog were unsuccessful.

UCRT arrived and successfully completed a high angle rescue and were able to reunite the unharmed dog with its grateful owner.
