OPP to outline major International drug smuggling bust

We will learn more today about a lenthy International drug smuggling investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)-led Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.

Deputy Commissioner Rick BARNUM and Detective-Inspector Mark LOADER will be joined by representatives from the United States Department of Homeland Security Investigations and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at the Holiday Inn in Barrie to provide details of a probe that disrupted wholesale quantities of cocaine destined for distribution in central and western Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. Police will also describe hundreds of thousands of dollars' worth of assets and currency seized as proceeds of crime and offence related property.
