3.5 Magnitude Earthquake in Sudbury Friday Morning

"A seismic event, with a magnitude of 3.5 on the Nuttli scale, occurred at Creighton Mine Friday morning at approximately 2:20 am.

No employees were underground at the time.

Once the affected area is deemed safe, it will be assessed for any damage that may have occurred as a result of the event."

Earthquakes Canada confirms that at 2:23am on Friday, February 8th, there was an earthquake which had a magnitude of 3.5. 

It was centred around the Vale Mine near Chelmsford, Dowling, Onaping, etc. exactly 14 kilometers East of Onaping Falls.

Depth: 10 kilometers
