Arrests Made After Shooting Incident on Manitoulin Island

Police on Manitoulin Island are investigating after a shooting incident in M'Chigeeng this past Saturday (Feb. 2). 

OPP are helping the local First Nation Police, and they say at least 4 people have been arrested. 

Injuries were reported, but none were life-threatening. 

Police continue to stress that there is no concern for public safety. 

A local high school had to to be placed on "Hold & Secure" for safety reasons, however the shooting did not happen on school grounds. 

No other details have been released.
