Downtown Assault - Images of Suspects/Witnesses Released

Greater Sudbury Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals seen in the still photos taken from video surveillance footage captured during and after the altercation/assault late evening on September 14th 2018. 


The individuals seen in the images may be involved in the altercation/assault or may have witnessed it; however, criminal investigators are convinced the public knows the identity of the people in these pictures. 


The Criminal Investigations Division continues to investigate this incident.

Around 11:40 p.m. on September 14, 2018 a 32-year old man was viciously assaulted in the area behind Pizza Pizza located at 52 Elm Street in Greater Sudbury. The man was rushed to hospital by Paramedics and remains in critical condition.  

It has been reported that numerous other men are responsible for the attack. 

Greater Sudbury Police Criminal Investigations Division Investigators are seeking video surveillance footage or eye witness testimony from anyone living or working in the area or from anyone who witnessed the attack.  

The motive for the attack is unknown at this time.
