HWY 69 OPEN Following Crash

Highway 69 is officially OPEN, after a collision early Thursday morning. 

OPP say a little before 6am yesterday, they responded to the crash which involved two transports, resulting in a chemical spill on the Key River Bridge. 

The responding officer was exposed to a hazardous chemical, and was taken to Hospital..

.Meanwhile, a second officer was conducting traffic control on Highway 400 near Parry Sound because of the Key River crash...

While in her cruiser will all emergency lights activated, she was hit by a northbound vehicle. 

The Officer suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries, and remains in Hospital. 

The driver of the vehicle was not injured. 

The Highway was re-opened around 2:30 Friday morning, and the collision is under investigation.
