Teddy Bear Picnic Auction Fundraiser for Children's Cancer Care
No one should have to deal with cancer, especially children.
The Canadian Cancer Society Sudbury and District (CCS) and students at Cambrian College are doing their part to help children “bear” that burden.
Students in the Police Foundations program have again partnered with the CCS for their 11th annual Teddy Bear Picnic Auction.
For the rest of the month, students will be approaching local businesses, organizations, and individuals, asking them to purchase and donate teddy bears which will then be auctioned at the Teddy Bear Picnic. Students in several other Cambrian programs are also taking part, including Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Worker, and Nursing.
The Teddy Bear Picnic Auction is taking place Saturday, November 3rd, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Student Life Centre during Cambrian College’s annual Fall Open House at its main campus on Barrydowne Road in Sudbury.
Proceeds from the auction will be used for childhood cancer research.
There is free admission and parking to the November 3rd Teddy Bear Picnic Auction and Fall Open House. Any individual or business interested in donating a teddy bear can contact Sally Dunton, Community Fundraising Specialist, Canadian Cancer Society, 705-670-1234, ext. 3176, firstname.lastname@example.org.
