Employee Injured After Convenience Store Robbery on Madison Ave

Just before 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, Officers responded to a Robbery that had just occurred at a convenience store on Madison Avenue in New Sudbury.

Three men concealed their faces and entered the store. One of the men assaulted the employee with a conducted energy weapon while a second man stole money from the cash register. The third man stood guard at the main door of the store.

The three men left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and other items prior to Police arrival.

The employee sustained minor injuries as a result of the altercation.

A K9 track was conducted in the area of Madison Avenue and Caribou Road, however, it ended abruptly indicating that the three men fled the scene in a vehicle. Officers canvassed the area and spoke with numerous individuals in an attempt to gather additional evidence.

All three men are described as being around 6’0" tall with medium builds.

This incident was planned and carried out with an alarming level of aggression and violence; therefore, we ask that employees and owners of confectionaries and convenience stores to take extra safety precautions until the persons responsible are taken into custody.
