KICX 91.7 Doubles Financial Goal for YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign
YMCA Strong Kids is an annual fundraising campaign focused on raising much needed resources to give kids the opportunities they need to live healthier, happier lives, today and in the future.
On Thursday, April 4th, at the YMCA Downtown Sudbury, there was a free pancake breakfast...However, donations were strongly encouraged.
Financial donations support the participation of over 125,000 children, teens and young adults in safe, supportive YMCA programs in their community.
KICX 91.7 was excited to partner with the YMCA for this initiative, and they even had "KICX Country Mornings with Trinette & Coop"broadcast their morning show live from the YMCA Downtown Sudbury to help push this fundraiser.
KICX had set a goal of raising $500 to contribute, and if they met that goal, KICX Afternoon Personality Matt Brown agreed to have his head & beard shaved!
Thanks to community support, a little over $1,000 was raised by KICX for the Strong Kids Campaign in Sudbury!
Last year, through the generosity of our communities, over $13M was raised through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign across the nation.
