Wanted Fugitive (Mike Laquerre) Arrested in Sudbury

Around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, Uniform Officers were conducting a patrol on Mabel Street in Greater Sudbury when they spotted a vehicle associated to Michel Laquerre. The Officers were able to block the vehicle in a laneway ensuring that it would not be able to go mobile, however the vehicle was unoccupied.

The Officers then saw movement within a residential unit close by. Officers contacted the tenant of the unit, who advised them that he was not home and that no one should be inside of the apartment.

Officers entered the unit and immediately saw a man make his way out of a window onto the roof. The man ran across the rooftop and jumped to the roof of the building next door. Officers surrounded the building and began speaking with the man in an attempt to deescalate the situation.

Shortly before 2:00 a.m. the man surrendered, climbed down from the roof and was arrested without incident on various outstanding Arrest Warrants.

48-year old Michel Laquerre has been charged with multiple offences including;
