Changes proposed to New Brunswick Prescription Drug Program

New Brunswickers enrolled under the province's prescription drug program may soon be reimbursed for prescriptions filled out of province.

Health Minister Benoît Bourque says the province plans to amend regulations under the Prescription Drug Payment Act.

Bourque says the proposed changes will ensure New Brunswickers can be reimbursed for entitled benefits received while out of province.

Barbara MacKinnon, president and CEO of the New Brunswick Lung Association, says the amendments will make life easier for lung transplant patients living in Toronto.
