New Brunswick activist passes away at 68
A New Brunswick Liberal activist who was the first woman to be promoted to full professor of English at UNB has died.
Wendy Robbins was a UNB professor in Fredericton and co-founder of Women's Studies.
She suffered a brain aneurysm April 12 and died in hospital Tuesday night.
She was 68.
Robbins developed a number of courses on women's writing and feminist approaches to literature.
Robbins was 68 and is survived by her two children and five grandchildren.
Her daughter tells The Daily Gleaner a party to celebrate her life will be held in the coming weeks.
