120 Ontario snowmobilers hit local trails for a good cause

A group of over 120 Ontario snowmobilers are hitting northern New Brunswick trails this week in an effort to help raise money for a children's camp.

Great Northern Ride chair Bob Caissie tells the Northern Light that the group aims to raise $200,000 for the Every Kid Counts camp and that stops in Bathurst, Campbellton, Miramichi, and Edmundston are on the agenda.

He estimates the group spends $25,000 to $30,000 on gas, food, and lodging in each community they stop in.

Caissie says riders notice a great respect for snowmobilers in each community they go through and says the region's hospitality has been amazing.
